Illuminated? Don't that mean lit
up? |

Illuminated letters or sign cabinets are in my opinion a very
cool way to get your name out and very visible. So you have
a location for a sign along the road and you want everyone
to know you are there. Light it up. That is the best way to
do the job. If your sign is there and not well lit in the
evening no one knows you are there.
So why isn't everyone doing it. Well the simple answer is the cost
involved in making a illuminated sign. The first thing you
will need is a sign cabinet, we prefer cabinets made by
Sign Comp. They are in my opinion the only choice
in illuminated sign cabinets and other extrusions. If you

that you are going to need the
fluorescent ballast which
is the product which illuminates the
fluorescent tubes. After
that one would need the sign faces. Which are either
acrylic or
polycarbonate materials in
1/8" or 3/16" thick. Then the faces will need your logo on
them. If you want a custom color on the sign cabinet to
match your building or your steel posts that will add
additional cost but is no problem with the color matching
possible from our sign distributors.
After you have the cabinet or letters you will need to mount the
sign either to a building or on a post. With a free standing
cabinet one definitely needs to be sure the sign is
constructed of high strength steel support members. When you
